Refundable:
GeoTrust will replace, revoke, and refund certificates that have been
issued within seven (7) days of the certificate issue date as long as
they are for the same domain name. If you need a new certificate after
seven days, you will be responsible for purchasing a new certificate.
Refund requests will be handled through GeoTrust support. They can be
reached at 1-866-436-8787 (North America) or 1-678-942-0400
(International) or via their online support system at
www.geotrust.com.
Scenario 1:
You are issued a certificate for the following host name: mail.domain.com. You have technical difficulties and your certificate is lost, your request is made within 7 days of issue.
Outcome: Your certificate is replaced free of charge.
Scenario 2:
You are issued a certificate for the following host name: mail.domain.com. You realize that the customer wanted a different host name: secure.domain.com, your request is within 7 days of the issue date.
Outcome: Your certificate is replaced free of charge, the host name will be changed as long as the domain name doesn't change.
Scenario 3:
You are issued a certificate for mail.domain-name.com. Your customer tells you that they don't need the certificate afterall, your request is within 7 days of the issue date.
Outcome: GeoTrust will revoke the cert, and this will result in a refund to your account with Tucows.
Scenario 4:
Any of the above scenarios happens after the 7 day period.
Outcome: No replacement or refunds/revocations will be issued. A new order will be required.
